Potentially, the Cowboys would be considered the sleeper team by many analysts, but it must be stated that the Seahawks are also in the midst of completely rebuilding a league leading, championship calibre defense. And yet, despite this fact, Seattle finds themselves in control of what commentators call ‘their destiny’. Both teams are banged up. But the Seahawks are hit harder on the injury front than the 49ers. Now their ground game consists of a sixth round pick fourth stringer Travis Homer and two guys that haven’t played football for more than a year. Russell Wilson was not as efficient and effective the last two games without Carson and Penny. Seattle starting left tackle also had a season ending injury and the Cardinals’ defensive line was having a field day against his replacements last week. Yes. The 49ers have not been playing like the world beaters they were earlier and their defense is not as dominant. But they still have a consistent running game. Jimmy G has been erratic at times and has made wrong decisions. But his two 3 and 16 conversions on the winning drive against the Rams were impressive. As he had shown in games against the Cardinals and the Saints earlier, Jimmy G can carry the team and win games for them. Russell Wilson looked lost last two weeks. He won’t be nearly enough to win the game. Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, Fred Warner and the 49ers defense will have a good day. 49ers 31. Seahawks 24.
