It’s been done this way for two hundred years in this church. I don’t expect that will change as long as face to face meetings are effective at spreading the gospel.
Well, I’m a Mormon (a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) and while I have accumulated upwards of 100 ties, not a single one of them is black—not one. I do have some white shirts but also some blue, some yellow and many multi-colored.
