It was much like any other class, except it was much earlier, and you had to attend in the uniform of the day, be that BDU’s (yes, I did this before ACU was issued to ROTC cadets. The last two years, we were allowed to wear our BDU’s instead of switching over) or PT uniform. Grades were given (I believe the ‘lab’ portion, which consisted mostly of a few FTX’s a year, was pass/fail based on if you showed up).
