But it got better. Pretty soon, there were these religions that popped up. Is there anything more natural and wonderful than creating a new life and then bleeding to death or dying of infection? School created science and the enlightenment, which in turn gave us the idea of equal rights, the abolition of slavery, the invention of modern medicine, gender equality, the reduction (and hopefully elimination) of theocracy, the industrial age, the information age, and modernity in general.
Without school, you wouldn’t be reading this. Hell, you wouldn’t be reading. You’d be farming, briefly, while living a brutal, short, cruel, and pointless existence. Unless you were a king, in which case you’d probably have some raping and enslaving to do before you died. I do not give work over a break. The only time a student might do work over a break is because they chose not to do it in my class and they have to make up past due work. On rare occassion I will have a student transfer from another school and they will need to make up work from a previous term to earn credit since they did not have the Nebraska Huskers Herbie Football Mascot shirt also I will do this same course at their previous school.
