Well when the guard would look under my cabinet, in his mind he’s expecting to see a dark shadow of nothing underneath. His eyes see the darkness and their minds register it as a shadow, not a black T-shirt. It’s right there for the taking, but they never see it.

You don’t have to work. If you are ordered to go to work you can refuse to work. In California that choice just cost you one additional day in prison. The choice will be made again tomorrow. The consequences of refusal will be a second day added to your sentence. Just like taxes, as you decide non compliance is the right choice the consequences of your choice become more severe. After refusing a few days you are written up, removed from your job, and now, if you decide to work, you don’t have a job anymore.
