So people will look at the photo, and say, “well, I wasn’t sure if I was going to vote for Donald Trump or not, but now that I see he’s being prosecuted for election fraud, I’ve decided, he’s my man!” I don’t think that’s going to happen. Some people will be enraged and energised by the photo, viewing it is some sort of ongoing persecution (I leave it to the reader’s judgement to decide whether the persecution is real or imaginary) of Trump. But those people are already Trump supporters. Maybe they’ll be a bit more energised and have higher turn out than the otherwise would, but the mugshot is just one long step in the whole investigation/indictment/trial/sentencing process.
