Lollapalooza 1992 – my personal favorite performance by this incredible band. I’ve been a massive pearl jam fan for 25 years…i kinda divide them up by era… they all just take me back to certain times in my life…certain feelings and situations…how I’ve changed…who I’ve been…who i want to be…and what’s important to me Not a big fan of Pearl Jam but I do like “Yellow Ledbetter” which I believe is about someone getting a letter saying that their loved one died overseas in combat. Now, I challenge anyone to figure out the Premium call me coco champion shirt coco gauff shirt coco gauff us open 2023 champion but in fact I love this lyrics without looking then up? I believe someone asked the question previously to “name a song with commonly mistook lyrics” and I didn’t think of this one at the time but now that I have “Yellow Ledbetter” would be my answer for sure.
Black from Ten. That song makes me cry every time I listen to it. I relate to the Premium call me coco champion shirt coco gauff shirt coco gauff us open 2023 champion but in fact I love this lyrics and tone of the song. It’s so sad and beautiful at the same time. Pearl Jam is a band that brings back memories. My father used to play the album Ten all the time, and I have fond memories of it. I like Even Flow for the energy of it, the sound, the vocals, the lyrics, everything. It’s awesome. “Given to Fly” off of the Yield album. I never got into Pearl Jam when they were “big” I found them to be too mainstream for my taste, so I never gave them a fair shot. I think I was driving somewhere and that song came on. I didn’t know it was Oearl Jam until Vedder started singing. I was about to switch the station, but something in the music, drew me in and compelled me to continue listening. And I loved it. I so wanted to hate it, but it blew me away. What I love about the song is how it starts off lowkey, then builds gradually. I love the melody and I love the way Vedder slowly increases his range. His control is pretty amazing. It’s a song from the first ablum ‘Ten’ and brings back memories from the days. I was already past my teen years, but their music hit me like a lightning strike. I can’t imagine what it would have been if I would’ve been 16 or 17… Jeremy jumps out for me because of the story behind the lyrics, the tragedy of the shy boy, the loner, neglected by his partnes, who couldn’t express himself and finally chose to ‘speak in class today’. Although I wasn’t a teenager anymore, I related to the poor boy. The lyrics are inspired by the suicide of Jeremy Wade Delle who shot himself in the head in front of his classmates.
