Currently at the shooting guard spot, he averages 24.6 points per game and is no doubt leading the franchise. A bit past his prime right now, Derozan has proven to be a dangerous player and can really put up some points if undefended. On the bench they have young players such as Jakob Poeltl, Delon Wright, Fred Van Vleet, and a really efficient center in Jonas Valanciunas. The Raptors are not a specific type of team (3 point shooters, drivers/dunkers, mid-range shooters) and they are all around average in most the parts. Kyle Lowry, a veteran past his prime has proven himself well with the Raps and no doubt attempts the most 3 point shots per game. The problem is..well he doesn’t usually make them. That’s a big problem these days because he might make a lot of points off them, but really we need to look at how much of them go in to determine his field goal percentage. The starting center, Jonas Valanciunas, is in his early prime and can really help the team when they need him. Specializing in hook shots and points in the paint, JV averages 12 points per game. The problem with him is that he follows the center stereotype for the most part, which is lousy aim, bad free throws, and off 3 point shots. Slowly but surely, he’s getting better and he could always shoot free throws but we need to see the slightest bit more from him.
