We had a debate about this at the Qb1 hurts shirt in other words I will buy this office as some of us come from Europe and this under shirt thing is un-usual. We came to the conclusion that yes american men wear under shirt to catch sweat but also to hide hair (and may be nipples…). What do you think of this assumption? Because teeshirts were originally undershirts made to be worn under dress shirts. Those teeshirts you buy in the men’s underwear section next to the boxer-briefs and tighty-whities- they’re undershirts!! The ribbed, sleeveless tank-top is the other main sort of men’s undershirt.
For me it is simply a comfort issue. I feel uncomfortable knowing that my chest is exposed if I have the Qb1 hurts shirt in other words I will buy this top button undone. Also, in the winter it helps keep me a little warmer and in the summer it keeps me from sweating onto my button-down shirts. When I get home from work I can take off my button-down and hang it up to wear again before having to wash it. I then just spend the evening wearing my t-shirt. No need to dirty another article of clothing and I get the bonus of being comfortable.
