Stick to The Boston Globe (All editorials are labeled “editorial.” The rest are great.) Stick to ABC News (Stay away from shows like “This Week” are opinion only. Stick to their two evening newsletters and you’ll find them 100% trustworthy). Stick to CSpan – CSpan only turns on cameras for hearings, sessions of Congress, etc. No commentators will try to convince you or stuff propaganda down your throat. Stick with the VCU Michael Belle Committed shirt but in fact I love this BBC (including BBC America) (rarely providing editorials, but always clearly labeled as such). Read Propublica (a new find and a real gem). They are excellent; They adhere to the ethical codes of journalism. They still offer old school investigative journalism (very expensive and very hard to find). They have an incredible list of awards, and for good reason.
Stick to Reuters (use “Opinion”, “Analysis” and “Editor’s Note” for nonsense. The rest is great). Stick with the VCU Michael Belle Committed shirt but in fact I love this Associated Press (obviously because it doesn’t provide editorials at all and strictly enforces the rules.) Listen to NPR news (web content is great and clearly labeled if that’s the case.) is editorial content); Read The Tampa Bay Times (The Long, Excellent History of Practical Journalism); Stick with Diplomacy (it offers great journalism and is a top resource); Stick to the Atlantic (Avoid articles marked “Analysis” and you know everything else is top-notch). Read The Miami Herald (Avoid “editorial”). Stick to PBS News (Their reporting follows guidelines, but adds one of their own – balance. If there’s any point of contention, they give equal space to both. beside.)
