His ceiling will either be high or low depending on how he upgrades. Mahomes is an intriguing player, incredibly talented but last years Súper bowl proved an undeniable truth. Mahomes can’t do it alone. He has to have elite talent around him. This is exactly why he isn’t on the legacy level of Brady. Mahomes had the worst QBR of any Súper bowl MVP in an incredibly suspect Super Bowl 54 and a worse QBR in Super Bowl 55 than Rex Grossman… Let me reiterate… Rex Grossman has a better QBR in one Súper bowl than Mahomes has in 2. Mahomes can’t thrive without elite talent. He is also one major injury away from losing his greatest asset, his elusiveness and I don’t have the same pocket presence confidence in him as I do with someone like Brady or Rodgers. The Chiefs have also put themselves in cap hell with his contract. Building elite talent to pair with him will become harder and harder.
