But in modern life, where food is available in great quantities for everyone (of course, except for poor people and poor countries), it’s counter productive because then you store up too much energy, and never spend it because you never have to fast. Technically pastas, whole wheat bread, and other forms of carbs, are healthy if eaten with moderation, but I guess it’s not what you meant by healthy food, I’m guessing you were talking about vegetables, fruits and legumes. Those foods are usually very low in calories, and are full of water. This doesn’t fire up our dopamines producers, and thus doesn’t provide with the pleasure sensation. (I’m sorry if it was a bit hard to follow I was a bit tired when writing this, I’ll try to improve the answer later, in the meantime I hope you got what I meant to say)
