I have one and it has 81,000 km and I had the engine blow at the beginning of my summer break. There is a recall on these engines because the bearings in the engine wear out prematurely causing the rod to shoot through the engine. It cost me my trip and 2 expensive tow rides as well as my summer. There are reports on the internet giving details on the experience others have had and what to look for. I suggest finding another more reliable transportation and save yourself getting stranded anywhere.
I have driven one 2014 model, Not an enthusiast car, steering is on very soft side,feed back is very poor, not a good companion on twisty roads, but in straight line ,NVH levels are well controlled and ride quality is fairly good, Interiors are attractive, For the Official Alina Rice Syracuse shirt But I will love this money you spent Tucson offers fairly long list of features, it’s good car with little compromises, Never drove one, but Hyundai is a good brand, with quality products, and reliable cars. They are owned by Kia, which is known for great customer service, and the other things i stated. If that’s the car you want, i would definetely buy for it if it’s reasonably priced.
