Official Mitch haniger & mitch garver mitches hit stitches signatures shirt

Lived here for 30 years. Can’t really add much to what Melissa said other than it helps a lot if you are into hunting, fishing, and other “outdoorsy” activities. Oh, also, mosquitoes. People think they know what clouds of mosquitoes are like. They don’t. Not until they have been standing on the Official Mitch haniger & mitch garver mitches hit stitches signatures shirt moreover I will buy this muskeg on a 70 degree July day and see the (literally) tornado looking clouds of mosquitoes rising up… Taking a pre-planned tour to me is a big mistake. They load you on a big bus with a crowd of sight-seers and drive you to some pretty cool places like Denali Nat’l Park and wherever they have resorts built to ensconce you in. While comfortable, guided, well-fed, and very scenic, you cannot suddenly decide to stop and check out something or go somewhere not on their itinerary. You are kind of force-fed Alaska and spend your money in their lodging, their restaurants, on their timeline. You want to spend 8 hours browsing the Museum in downtown Anchorage (recommended)? Nope, we want you to go look at some more mountains over here and eat in our restaurant. Want to climb a mountain? Nope. Want to go on a flight-seeing tour with a different company to a different place and perhaps spend a few days because it peaks your interest? Nope. We have planes to catch and restaurants for you to eat in on a well-developed and unbend-able schedule. Instead, fly up, get a rental car, some hotel reservations in Anchorage, Seward, Homer, Fairbanks, Talkeetna, or wherever, talk to locals about what to see and when, and go do it. Climb flat-top. Hike in to exit glacier in Seward, ride the ferry to Seldovia. Spend a month here.

It doesn’t. Living in Alaska is great. The landscape is breathtaking. The people are friendly. If you have the Official Mitch haniger & mitch garver mitches hit stitches signatures shirt moreover I will buy this right attitude, the hardships can be tolerated with ease. Yes our rural areas are not as comfortable as urban areas. Recognize the beauty of the rural areas and learn to appreciate not having easy phone or internet access. Those things can often cause you to waste time. Yes, we get 2 senators and one representative, but our daily lives and culture are radically different than the rest of the country. A lot of Alaskans think we would be better off on our own. However overall, I think being a part of the United States has been a good thing for us.
