From what I could tell, several things…though I’m on the right coast and don’t pay too close attention to them. The ownership. It’s my understanding that the ownership group was frustrated with Harbaugh and that they were butting heads. Losing all the best pieces they had, and getting rid of a quality coach you’re going to have a terrible year. Plus, as a Washington fan I can sympathize with having bad owners. To be a championship team you need a running game and a great defense. And the 49ers have both, and then some. The 49ers hit a home run drafting Nick Bosa with the 2nd overall pick. His monster game against the Panthers propelled him to the front of the Rookie Defensive Player of the Year race. If he keeps it up, He has a chance to become only the 2nd player (Lawrence Taylor) in NFL history to win both the DROY and DPOY in the same year. On the offensive side, the 49ers will keep pounding you on the ground with two good young running backs in Matt Breida and Tevin Coleman. They made a good Panthers defense looked silly last week. And the running game will be even better with their two starting tackles and the starting full back slated to come back within a week or two. They are 7–0 and Jimmy G is not even hitting his stride yet. So one big difference between the 2019–20 49ers and the teams from previous 3, 4 years is they have playmakers now. They have to be the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. If they play the Patriots right now at a neutral site, it will be a toss up.
