That said: given how polarising news reporting is in the United States, it was particularly unrealistic. There is a large section of the US market which would rather shoot themselves in the head than watch CNN. Now, CNN+ tried to address that problem by getting away from the more partisan commentary that it tends to indulge in at home, and try and focus on the hard hitting journalism that it is know for overseas (under the brand, CNN International). But ultimately it was a trick that they simply could not pull off. I tend to think the concept was doomed from the outset no matter what. But it was particularly doomed because of how CNN had positioned itself in its largest market over the past few years. They do. All the time. Pretty much every single day. I am not sure what gave you that idea. Now granted they are not always the best representations of the left, but some more prominent people don’t see much point in going on there and being berated and cut off mid sentence by people like Tucker and Hannity. I can’t say that I blame them. If I was a leftist I sure as hell would not want to deal with that.
