I can be on the strip in less then 10 minutes but am only 30 minutes to open desert and the lake. What I hate about living here is honestly the people. This is not Cali! Racism and homophobia are out in the open. The schools suck ( no income tax). If you need employment, do not come here. Pay is low and layoffs are common. Your children probably won’t go to University. They will be drawn to a job on the strip. Valets and waitstaff could earn 100k a year during the boom times. They are all waiting for unemployment now.
