A nurse weighed me, asked me some more questions, and took signatures for a few digital forms. They also gave me a form with some more information about the treatment on it and some more forms to sign. I had my blood pressure taken and my blood drawn, I talked to one of the nurses about my options, given a schedule of when to check-in and when to increase my dose, and then the nurse asked if I wanted to buy the medication from the Planned Parenthood or get them from a pharmacy later on. I decided on the former. As I left, I paid for a month’s supply of estradiol (estrogen) on top of the cost of two separate blood tests and the cost of the visit, amounting to just under $160 without insurance. And then my friend drove me to Which Wich (and bought a sandwich for me against my will…) before I went to his house and took my first dose.
