I dislike using “MSM” but it’s a very popular talking point with conservatives here, so I feel forced to acknowledge that conservatives see it as important. These days, I get my news from internet sources, like AP News or Reuters. If I’m in the car, sometimes I have NPR on, but more often I’d rather put on some music I like. Other than that, because the internet allows us easy access to a lot of sources, I generally don’t focus too much on any one news source in particular. From my perspective, conservatives bring up the stations in the question all the time in their overall grievances against the MSM. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if conservatives know those stations a lot better than I do because they talk about those stations so often. I hardly think about them unless questions like this come up. Typically ratings systems treat broadcast and cable separately. So Tucker is beating CNN and MSNBC, but he’s not competing against ABC, NBC, CBS, or Fox (which isn’t the same thing as Fox News).
