I do over 35,000 miles a year. The Santa Fe post 2011, pre 2019 is a 6 or 7 passenger… it was replaced by the Palisade in 2020 because Hyundai wanted available seating for 8. Palisade and the telluride took over that market. So the Santa Fe is kind of a bargain right now with the palisade going up to 6,000 over sticker after a year of being out. Especially if you can find one with factory warranty (10 year 100k powertrain and 5 yr 60k bumper to bumper).
An excellent car with excellent mileage. My xcent is more than 5 yrs old now and I must say I am very proud to own it. Comfortable seating space for 5 adults with huge boot space are one of its many usp’s. Be it in city or long, ride has never been uncomfortable. The only con in my opinion is the ground clearance. Going forward, I would want Hyundai to bring this car back in Indian market with a face uplift. Hyundai santa fe was a mechanicaly and asthetically flawless vehicle, WAS because HMIL recently pulled santa fe from india as she was doing very poor numbers since jan 2017. And santa fe used to lock horns with CHEVY Captiva( company has shut down the indian operations recently ), TOYOTA Fortuner , Ford endeavour, Honda CRV, MAHINDRA Rexton, RENAULT Koleos (discontinued).
